Super Galax-i-birds (C64)

The game the couldn't stop... again!

If the game title sounds familiar, this Commodore64 game is indeed an unofficial sequel and homage to the (in)famous Sensible Software game 'Galaxibirds', a rather silly but entertaining budget blaster released by Firebird in the mid 1980's!

Super Galax-i-birds is a straightforward shooting game in which you shoot as many psychotic birds as possible to gain a high score in one or two player mode.

The download includes not only the game (which can be played on a real C64 or in an emulator), but the 6502 source code and all game assets and resources.

This is a bug-fixed version that resets the enemy speeds for player 2 to make things a little fairer!

Instructions

The game is controlled by a joystick in 'port 2'.

On the title screen, use left/right on the joystick to select a 1 or 2 player game, then press fire to launch your mission!

Once play has begun, move your ship left and right using the joystick and press the fire button (a lot!) to shoot the enemy birds!
